Frequently Asked Questions

Mage or Necromage for PvP?
Necromage is the more common PvP variant — Necromancy adds Vampiric Embrace (self-heal-through-damage), Curse Weapon, and Wither (AOE drain). Pure Mage with Anatomy/Healing is more bandage-reliant and arguably easier to learn. Both are competitive. New PvP mages often start pure-Mage and pivot to Necromage once mechanics feel comfortable.
Do I need Powerscrolls to PvP at all?
You can compete without them, but you'll be at a disadvantage against scrolled opponents. Magery and Eval Int Powerscrolls (105/110/115/120) substantially boost spell damage; Resist Spells past 100 helps with survival. Plan to pursue Powerscrolls within your first 6 months of serious PvP.
Where do I learn PvP mechanics?
Practice. Watch other PvP mages. Spend time in Felucca duels (low-stakes, agreed combat). The shard has an active PvP community; ask in chat or the forum for sparring partners. Reading guides only goes so far — PvP is reflex-driven and demands real practice.
