When to Respec

This template handles most PvE content. Consider a respec when:

  • You want to add Archery for ranged options.
  • You want to specialize toward PvP (see PvP Warrior Build).
  • You want to add Taming/Lore for a hybrid pet path (drop Healing or Resist).
  • You're moving toward civic Order specialization (see Chirurgeon Build).

Frequently Asked Questions

Which weapon skill should I pick?
Swordsmanship is the default for new warriors — broad weapon variety, well-supported by skill trainers, and the most build guides reference it. Macing and Fencing work equally well mechanically; pick whichever weapon style appeals visually. Archery is a different build profile (range plus weapon skill) and is covered separately if you want bow-focused PvE.
Do I need Magery as a warrior?
Optional. A pure warrior with no magic skills works fine for solo PvE. Some players add 60-80 Magery for utility (Recall, Heal scrolls, basic field spells); others add Chivalry instead (closer to a paladin feel). Both are valid. The pure-melee template here works without either.
What dungeons can I solo with this build?
At full skill (700 total) you can solo most low and mid-tier dungeons. Higher-tier dungeons demand a group or specific gear. Champion spawns require multiple players regardless of skill. Felucca dungeons are PvP-exposed; bring nothing you can't lose.
