Immortal Realm

Ledger Build

A High Ledger civic build for Immortal Realm — Magery, Inscription, Eval Int, Meditation, Resist, Wrestling, with travel and filing focus.

A civic build calibrated for High Ledger play. The Ledger is records, contracts, attestations, Crown Writs, and parole work — your character spends more time traveling between halls and witnessing events than in combat. This build supports that lifestyle while keeping enough combat utility to handle the world's rougher edges.

Ledger Build: Civic Records and Crown Writs on Immortal Realm reference table
Rank Gate Notes
Clerk Entry on join Routine filings, basic lookups
Recorder 20 SP + Clerk exam Witness contracts, certify attestations

Chancellor 360 SP + 25 clean + 14 distinct + 7-day Arbiter hold Senior administrative rank
Proctor 720 SP + 40 clean + 22 distinct + 14-day Chancellor hold Audit rank
High Registrar 1,440 SP + 60 clean + 32 distinct + 30-day Proctor hold Capstone; non-singular (multiple holders allowed)

Service points come from a small set of public-facing activities (daily cap 200 SP/day, 20 filings/day):

Ledger Build: Civic Records and Crown Writs on Immortal Realm reference table
Activity Points
Ledger lookup (researching the public record) 1 (cap 10/day)
Attestation filed 2
Contract witnessed 3

Death Certificates at gravestones pay an additional 2 filing points plus file a Service kind attestation. The four civic capabilities are unlocked at the ranks below (verified at LedgerCivicAuthorityService.cs:36-39) — they're craftable / authority instruments, not direct SP sources:

Ledger Build: Civic Records and Crown Writs on Immortal Realm reference table
Capability Min Rank
Crown Writ Posting Recorder (rank 2)
Bail Contract crafting Recorder (rank 2)
Parole Deed crafting Witness (rank 3)
Writ Promotion (officializing a Player Writ to Crown branding) Arbiter (rank 4)

So practical capability progression for the build is Recorder unlocks the bulk of player-facing civic services (Bail + Crown Writ Posting), Witness adds Parole, and Arbiter adds the official-stamp authority on Player Writs.

Total minimum held-rank time from Arbiter to High Registrar is 51 days (7+14+30) on top of the cumulative SP grind.

When to Respec

This template handles civic records and Order play. Consider a respec when:

  • You want to add Necromancy for combat-buff hybrid (drop Spirit Speak as gate, push Necro to 100).
  • You want to drop Inscription for combat-leaning (Tactics + Anatomy).
  • You want to specialize toward Chirurgeon Build civic play instead.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to join the Ledger for this build?
No, mechanically — the skills work without Order membership. But the build is calibrated for Ledger play, where you earn rank by filing contracts, witnessing attestations, processing Crown Writs, and handling parole/bail. Without joining, you can use Ledger services but won't get the public-recognition layer (rank, Crown Writ authority, paperwork autonomy). Most players running this build join the Ledger within their first month.
Is this a combat build?
Mage-leaning support. A Ledger build can solo low-tier PvE through Magery, but it's not a dedicated combat template. The build's core value is high mobility (Recall + Sacred Journey via inscription), spell support, and the social-civic verbs Order membership unlocks. For pure combat, see the Mage Build or Warrior Build.
What about Necromancy or Spirit Speak?
Optional. Some Ledger members add Necromancy (Spirit Speak as the gate) for additional utility — Wraith Form for reagent-saving, Pain Spike for combat. The pure template here uses Magery only; the Necro variant trades a utility skill (typically Anatomy or Inscription's higher tier) for the Necromancy stack.
